About this item
A reclaimed stripped pine four panel internal door, likely to date to C.1900. The door is solid and well made with mortise and tenon joints. The door has a traditional appearance with four recessed panels, two larger over two smaller, with decorative mouldings around them.
The door is antique and has some signs of age and some damage, as expected of reclaimed items. The mid rail has a small patch repair. There is some slight separation where some of the joints meet and one side of the door has some pegs and filler applied to the top joints. The top panels have some slight bowing. The door has a stain on one side where the lock sits, which appears to be oil. The lock will need replacing. There are holes and marks from hardware removal, including a large hole by the lock and some of the smaller holes have had filler applied to them. The door has some knocks, surface splits and chips from use. The hinges have some tarnish. The door height may need slight levelling. The small hook on one side is broken. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a nice period design, ideal for adding character to a home.
