About this item
A reclaimed five panel painted pine door for internal or external use. The door is likely to date to C.1900 and has a handsome traditional design and is well made and solid. The door has five recessed panels, one horizontal and four vertical, all with decorative mouldings around them. The door has a very pretty decorative finger plate on each side, cut to fit the original handles. The door has been painted white but the paint has staining and chips and you will need to sand and re-paint the door to suit.
The door is in good solid condition with some signs of age, as expected. There are some holes and marks from hardware removal. The pine has some knocks and chips. The base of the door has some knocks and some damage and a glue repair has been carried out to one corner where some wood had broken away. The hinges will need replacing. The finger plates have some tarnish. The door height may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a substantial item with a very nice period look and it will make a lovely feature for a home.
