About this item
This is a medieval silver penny of King Henry III of England, struck at the Canterbury mint between 1216 - 1247 AD.
Obverse: ҺЄNRICVS RЄX (King Henry) Legend around crowned facing bust, holding sceptre.
Reverse: +ROGER ON CANT (Roger of Canterbury) Legend around voided cross, with four pellets in angles.
It is a lovely example, in VF condition, of a good weight.
