    Condition Good+. Edges of pages grubby. Minor splitting of the fore hinge. A sound copy of the 1st edition of this uncommon early skiing book with a very stylish cover.

    The author of this work, Edwin Vivian Stuart Caulfeild (1874–1958), was a pioneer English ski instructor and one of the greatest authorities on early skiing technique.  The Caulfeild glacier in the Antarctic was named in his honour.
