About this item
Beautiful late 19th century Chinese rice carrier, c1890. This is a highly decorative example with lovely red and gold lacquer work and panels depicting Koi /carp, swans/ducks etc. It would display really well and is functional as a box/container. The base is marked/signed in Chinese calligraphy. The lacquer work is still vibrant and overall condition is good with only minor signs of use/wear as you would expect from an old example.
