About this item
Unusual early 20th century Inuit carved stone statue of a sea bird,c1920. This is a large and impressive example weighing a mighty 10kg. It is well carved with the bird shown resting its head on a wing. The stone is a lovely mix of colours, brown, grey, white and black with great marbling. It would display really well in a traditional or modern setting. Overall condition is very good with no obvious issues.
