About this item
Fine large 19th century Chinese bronze vase ,c1890. This is a highly decorative piece with large panels on both sides of the main body and neck depicting birds ,foliage and a dragon. The handles are highly stylised peacocks a symbol often associated with Guan Yin the Goddess of compassion and used to represent beauty and divinity in Chinese culture. Overall condition is good with only minor surface wear marks. There are 2 holes drilled into the base so presumably at some point it had been converted for use as a lamp. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact me if you would like to view the item or have any questions.
