18th Century French silk bed canopy, the simple wooden frame has recently been custom made for it with new chain added, it has been attached to the frame with strong velcro that cannot be seen but is removable if preferred. I would consider the silk in very good condition for the age, light age related marks, small area of wear to the silk (see photo), all in keeping and nothing that detracts. The below height is of the fabric, there is around 29 inches of chain that can be cut as required.
