FS0267 A LARGE RECLAIMED SLATE FIRE SURROUND

A large and elegant, reclaimed, slate fire surround. The surround is of a good size, ideal for a reception room and is of a nice design. The fire surround has a traditional appearance with simple column style detailing at the top of the legs and at the top of the feet. The surround has a large mantel. The slate has been oiled and has a good colour, however, you could paint the surround if you prefer. The fire surround is in good solid condition with some signs of wear and light damage, as expected of reclaimed items. The slate has some knocks and chips, especially to the edges and corners and to the top of one leg on the underside. The slate has some scratches and scuffs and there is some colour variation and darker spots. Please see pictures for condition details. The surround is a heavy and well made item and its simple and elegant design would suit both modern and period interiors, finishing a fireplace nicely.
