    This bow-back chair sometimes referred to as a Captains chair or Smokers bow dates from the 19th century and is crafted from elm wood. It has attractive rich tones a beautiful patina and displays good grain detail in the seat slab.Standing upon stout baulster legs, ring turned spindles support the horeshoe armrest and a backrest crowned with a generous scroll back for added comfort and support. Stamped with the craftmans initials J.B '45 to the rear of the seat slab. This chair would add a classic functional charm to any home.
