This is an antique smoker's bow. An English, ash and elm elbow or captain's chair, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1900.

The upper rail crowned with a generous scroll back and butler's grasp
Eleven desirable spindles rise obliquely supporting the horseshoe armrest in ash
Skilfully formed saddle squab with pronounced seat and JK monogram to rear
Standing upon stout baluster legs united by a double stretcher rails
This is a superb antique smoker's bow chair, with attractive colour and fine English craftsmanship. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
