About this item
A pair of 19th century oak tub chairs with serpentine shaped front rails standing on squre tapering legs with raised block feet. The chairs have acanthus carving on the arms and good decoration on the front legs and seat rail. They are upholstered in brown velvet with brass studded edges, stand well ,and are very comfortable with a seat height of 18 ins so pretty versatile as can also be used as desk chairs or even to dine at. English Circa 1880.
