A pair of fine quality late 19th century mahogany open armchairs in the Chippendale style.
This pair of chairs of sophisticated design each consist of a shaped and carved top rail with central scallop shell and carved foliate and reeded design terminating with outer scroll.
The unusual central splat with lattice design and foliate decoration with further foliate design below, the carved uprights consisting of floral and blind fret decoration and the shaped arms with carved foliate design.
This leading down to faux leather seats in a deep grey/green tone supported on square legs to the front with floral and blind fret decoration with outswept legs to the rear.

This pair of chairs are in very good condition for age, are of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
