About this item
A Pair of good quality French rosewood open "Fauteuils" in the Louis XVI style. In solid rosewood with crisp carved detail. Traces of gilding to line mouldings and carved acanthus leaves. In very good order no breaks or loose joints. The upholstery although not done by ourselves has been done very well, no tears or stains. Down filled cushions in a upholstery weight moire stripe in a kind of dusty muted pink....but not pink ( if you know what i mean? ) the pictures are quite an accurate tone of the colour. Although in the Late Louis XVI style 1774-1793 they date from the second half of the 19th Century,
A handsome pair with no incurred costs of re-covering them.... if you do need them re-upholstered we can do it....in your choice of fabric call for a quote.
