    About this item

A good quality, set of nine, 19th century, heavy crystal wine glasses. Each glass has a long elliptical cut to the bowl and a single, flying saucer, knop to the stem. This design was produced by Baccarat but it was also made by other glass manufacturers. There are variations in the sizes and weights of the glasses and the set was probably added to or replacements made over a period of time although all the glasses are 19th century. They also vary because they are hand blown and the design is hand cut.

The largest, and heaviest glass dates from c.1860. It measures 14.5cm high by 8cm. diameter at the foot and 8.5cm. diameter at the rim. The smallest and lightest glass dates from c.1890 and measures 14.2cm. high by 7cm. diameter at the foot and 8.7cm. diameter at the rim. Despite the variations they are a lovely quality set and the variations would not be noticed when set out at the table.

They are all in excellent condition.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £50. Most of Western Europe add £20.
