Fine Quality Victorian Brass Half Tester Double Bed
A very good quality Victorian brass half tester double bed in the manner of JAS Shoolbred of Tottenham Court Road, London. The top panel of the headboard with mother of pearl spindles, folding side arms and with small eyelets at the bottom to attach fabric, the ornate, deep, footboard with a pair of mother of pearl inset roundels and mother of pearl and brass spindles, the reverse of the roundels of brass flowerhead design.
The base of the legs stamped '369', the brass roundels on the footboard with the RD number 103218 for the year 1888.
The headboard is 230cm high max, the footboard 129cm high. 138cm wide and 190cm long (internal width). Fits a modern double mattress.
