Mahogany Four Poster Bed
The four bedposts are carved with fluted balusters, cluster columns and rococo carving to plinth bases at the head of the bed and and carved paw feet to the foot of the bed. A closed upholstered canopy with dogtooth cornice with four classical carved fluted urn finials (finials are not shown in the photographs because the ceiling will not accommodate the height)
Irish, 18th Century and later.
The style of the carving is typical of Ireland, some 18th century elements but with later alterations.
Mattress size: King Size 150 cm (5 feet) wide and 200 cm (6 feet 6 inches) long.
Condition: The bed is in very good condition, the columns are beautifully carved and are undamaged other than some scuffing to the feet, which can be polished prior to delivery.
