    About this item

    This is a very high quality mahogany desk from the late 19th early 20th Century. With a serpentine front of 5 drawers, having satinwood quartered spandrels and boxwood stringing. Tapered square legs also with stringing and headed by inlaid ribbons and husk decoration. The whole sides and back fully decorated with larger but similar decoration of the most unusual full "kidney" shape. The top further decorated with the most intricate decoration. Oak lined drawers, no restoration whatsoever the whole in perfect original condition being a rich colour and a lustrous sheen.
