Elm Antique Chinese Bench, 1920s

This antique Chinese bench from Shanxi, circa 1920, is a versatile and durable piece made with traditional elm wood. With a weathered finish, it follows the classic 'Spring bench' style used in China for centuries. It is a great addition to any space, providing extra seating for a bed or window alcove, and is reminiscent of benches placed outside of restaurants and shops for customers and staff to rest on. The bench features an A-frame design with rounded legs and double stretchers for added support, all crafted from a single elm plank.
