About this item
Long French cherry wood window seat or settle c.1900. Raised ends, each with a broad shaped cresting rail over a pierced slat carved with a delightful naive scene of male and female lions below a tree. Flanked with slim slats carved as fluted columns, and curving stiles. Over a 28" wide woven rush seat (height 15"). Legs and stiles connected with slim stretchers on each side for strength. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
