    About this item

A most unusual, Victorian beechwood breadboard. The rim of this board is carved with a sickle, a scythe, a tulip and wheat. This design is quite uncommon and the board dates from c.1860. The carving would, originally have been very deep, but it is now quite worn, with use. The centre of the board also has considerable scratching, from use, and a small amount of worm damage. To the reverse of the board is  small burn mark. The wood has a honey coloured patina and the board has much character.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £15. Western Europe add £10.
