    About this item

    An early 20th century breadboard carved in oak. Breadboards were usually carved in sycamore or beech but oak is far less common. The border is carved with the word “BREAD” and there is a simple, stylised leaf design which is chip carved.

    English c.1910.

    Condition. Very good with just slight scratch marks to the front and reverse, from use.

    Dimensions: Diameter 28cm. Depth 2cm.
