Petal Edged Breadboard

A nineteenth century, sycamore breadboard with a lovely, petal carved border. This is English and it dates from c.1880. Although the design is simple it is very pleasing and the wood has a lovely, pale patina. There are numerous scratch marks to both the face and the reverse of the board, from use, but it is in good condition, with no chips or splits.
