About this item
An unusual Welsh oak bureau cabinet. The top with moulded cornice above two raised panel doors each crossbanded in walnut and having inlaid holly and bog oak stars, opening to reveal interior shelves. The base with fall front , inlaid with a star and matching the top, fitted interior, above one shallow drawer with lopers either side , two short and two long drawers all crossbanded in walnut and retaining their original handles. Standing on short bracket feet. Fine colour and patina, the pine backboards of the bureau have been replaced some time ago otherwise in great order. Merionethshire Circa 1750.
