    A 19th century oak bookcase,the top with stepped cornice and carved capitals, the bevelled glass doors enclosing shelves .The base with fitted  secretaire drawer,above panelled doors(shelf behind)  on to a shaped plinth.The bookcase is fine quality and in original condition throughout with lovely panelled sides and the writing height is 30 ins.Unusual to be in oak and a good practical bookcase,the shelves can be used for books,alternatively the plain glass doors would show porcelain well. English Circa 1870.
