This is an antique metamorphic drinks cabinet. An English, oak bureau form cocktail cabinet, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Superior cabinetry with astonishing oak stocks and a delightful bureau form Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order Select oak stocks beam rich golden caramel tones throughout Excellent grain interest and an abundance of medullary rays Dashing canted form with a low back rest and tiered edge mouldings Large fall-front opens upon a counterweight to reveal a raised glass and decanter gallery Ahead of the gallery, the fall front remains generously sized for secure pouring Dressed with a pair of brass drop handles over shaped backplates and circular lock — key absent Deep, wide drawer set within the base replete with a second pair of brass handles The drawer interior appointed with a trio of compartments for storing spirits Elegant sash aprons to each side of the cabinet add a flourish Raised upon four short and distinctive tapering legsThis is an exceptional antique metamorphic drinks cabinet, with the subtle appearance of a bureau.
