Measures:-
21.2 cm diameter x 9.8 cm high
Hand-thrown terracotta earthenware pottery, hand-decorated and glazed with a geometric arabesque and stylised flower pattern in blue and green with turquoise blue, yellow and red highlights, outlined in black. Signed by the potter in Arabic to the base and with 'Safi' mark in Latin letters beneath. Two glazed suspension holes to the footrim to allow for wall hanging.
Excellent condition. Fine overall craquelure. Usual small areas of glaze fail, as is customary with this ware, some retouched by the potter.
