About this item
A beautiful silver salver by a rare female silversmith Elizabeth Cooke, made in London in 1765. It has well cast shells around the border, has three feet and a full set of hallmarks underneath. It has the Farquharson family crest engraved on the front and the original owners initials "I F" engraved on the back. Elizabeth Cooke was a silversmith working in London from 24th January 1764 till at least 1773 when she was mentioned as a beneficiary in her brothers will. This salver is in exceptional condition and is a wonferful piece of Georgian silver.
