About this item
Beautiful and refined antique jewelery holder of Italian production from the mid-18th century. Of great artistic quality made on a papier-mâché base with an elaborate floral decoration created with small handmade pieces of wood. It is a light wood probably from a fruit tree. We note the presence of a noble coat of arms on the lid. A true spectacle when the box opens with an architectural shape, many small compartments are revealed to contain precious jewels. A truly unique box which, given the quality and the presence of a noble coat of arms, was certainly commissioned for a high society woman.
