    About this item

    A rare 1940s wall-mounted ashtray from a British train carriage. It is made of heavy weight chromed metal with hinged lid and hinged tipping interior, making emptying easy. The front is impressed 'LMS' for the London, Midland & Scottish Railway which went out of existence in 1947. It has screw holes in the back plate to allow it to be mounted on the wall of the carriage.
