19th C Anglo Indian Campaign Writing Box

A super 19th century Campaign Writing Box, made in solid camphor wood with brass inlaid decoration and inset carrying handles.  The fall to the front opens out to reveal the original velvet lined writing surface with storage well beneath. the tambour back rolls down in sequence when you open the fall revealing a sprung loaded concealed compartment, housing small pigeon holes and drawers.  This writing box is in wonderful original condition with good colour and even retains the original measuring rule.  Anglo Indian, Circa 1840.
