About this item

A beautiful clam shell shaped silver pocket snuff box. Made in Birmingham in 1810 by Joseph Wilmore. The oval box has ribbing around the sides and a shell shaped base and top. The stand away 5 part hinge is good and the lid closes well. The interior has original gilding and there are a full set of hallmarks on the lip of the base. A very fine box.
