About this item
A rare George III silver snuff box with superb engraving on the top and base. Made in London in 1802 by Phipps and Robinson. It is oblong in the shape of a portmanteau with engraved handle on both ends. The interior is gilt with a hallmarked base and lid. The 11 part concealed hinge is tight and the lid closes well. This box was part of the Lion Collection, see the details below. Its is a scarce Georgian snuff box in fine condition.
