A George III ribbed silver snuff box, John Shaw, 1812
A lovely ribbed pocket snuff box with oval ends. Made in Birmingham in 1812 by John Shaw. There is virtually no sign of wear and there is no damage or repairs. The interior is the original gilding with hallmarks on the lip of the lid. The 9 part hinge is tight and the lid closes well. A lovely example of this style of box.
