    About this item

A rare Georgian silver snuff box by Joseph Wilmore of Birmingham made in 1822. It is in mint condition with very little wear to the high points and the original gilding inside with only light surface scratches. The cast scene is of a maid and a seated gentleman smoking a pipe. It has "James Bett" engraved on a small cartouche on the bottom. The 13 part hinge is excellent and the lid closes tightly, the hallmarks are good on the bottom and lightly stuck on the top. Overall the box is in very good condition with no damage or repairs.

    Weight: 143gms or 5ozs
