A Georgian silver pocket snuff box by William Edwards 1817
A rare George III silver pocket snuff box in the style of a purse. Made in London in 1817 by William Edwards. It is hallmarked on the base and lid. There is an inscription on the front "J.Lea". It is in good overall condition with no damage or repairs. There is very slight surface wear and light scratches comensurate with the 200 year age of the item. It has a tight fitting 9 part hinge and very crisp engraving all over.
