    About this item

An exceptionally rare "Thumb hole" double snuff box by George Cowdery, London c.1780. It only has the makers mark but there is an identicle one pictured in Eric Delieb's book "Silver Boxes" which has a full set of hallmarks. My box is in exceptional condition with no damage or repairs. Both lids fit well and close tightly. There is crisp bright cut engraving around the edges.
