20.3 cm long x 10.5 cm wide x 5 cm high
A very attractive box decorated with the ancient Persian micro mosaic technique known as Khātam or Khatam-kari (خاتمکاری). The surface of the wooden box beneath is covered on all sides with precisely-cut intricate geometric patterns of wood, bone and brass.
Good condition, commensurate with age. Some shrinkage, cracking and loss as expected. A chip to the internal bone edge-rim of the lower part of box.
