    About this item

    An early Victorian foliate scroll designed silver snuff box. Made in Birmingham by Edward Smith in 1845. The whole box is covered with engraved scrolls and there is the letters "H G" engraved in the central cartouch. The 14 part hinge is tight and the lid closes well. The interior has been regilded, there is a later inscription in the lid as well as a full set of hallmarks. This is a lovely quality Birmingham box.
