About this item
A very good example of an early copper snuff box, from the last quarter of the 18thc...it is engraved with a graceful swan on a lake and the owners name J. Harding.... and what looks like the last part of a date ending in 72....I would say it was dated 1772......on the underneath is engraved the head and neck of a dog..... this attractive snuff box is in good condition for its age with no major dents or any cracks....the hinge is in perfect working order.
English. C18thc.
