About this item
A fine George III tea caddy. Hand made from mahogany which has mellowed to a wonderful rich honey colour, inlaid with shell and flower basket motifs. The edges have been inlay strung with boxwood and mahogany the lock still bears the original inlaid bone escutcheon. The top opens to reveal the two original lift top mahogany cannisters and hand etched glass mixing bowl. 28.3cms wide, 13cms deep and 13.5cms tall.
