About this item
A superb George III silver gilt snuff box made in London in 1814 by John Linnet and William Atkinson. The top is a cast picture of a tavern scene after Dutch painter David Teniers the Younger. The box is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. The 15 part hinge is tight and the lid fits well. The interior has original gilding in great condition. There are a full set of hallmarks in the base and a part set in the lid. A great example of this style of box.
