    18th Century Dutch brass tobacco box
    Of rectangular form with canted corners, of larger size for the table top rather than the pocket, this example is plane and has not been engraved.  The Dutch being major importers of tobacco in the 18th century made all varieties of tobacco boxes to retail along with their product.

    Condition: It has not been over polished, the hinge is in good condition and the lid closed tightly.
