    About this item

Victorian Gentlemans dome topped writing box dating from circa.1860. Hand made from coromandel wood with inlaid brass details and brass corner protector to stop damage during travel. The box opens to reveal the original faded red velvet writing surface, twin inkwells and lift out pen tray. The box also has three secret drawers hidden behind a sprung blanking panel which are accessed by pushing down on the far right inkwell divider. The lock bears the "Bramah" name which is a sure sign of quality and retains its original key. 40cms wide, 24.5cms deep and 18cms tall.
