This is a beautiful ladies wrist watch made in the 1930s
Movement - The watch has a rectangular movement with a lever escapement and decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “Stayte, Swiss Made, 16 Jewels” and is in 95% mint condition
Dial – the silvered dial has blue steel hands and is in 85% mint condition – many small marks
Case – the movement comes in a 9K white gold open face case, which has a hinged back and is in 90% mint condition.
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch sits in a beautiful bracelet set with rubies. This has a curve to it, so it sits perfectly on a wrist. The rubies are set in claw settings
The rubies are of differing colours but have been verifies by a gemmologist. The strap has 6 interlocking panels with a carved floral motif and are set with three rubies each. The bracelet is stamped silver. The bracelet has a clasp with a lock and a safety chain – undone in order to take a photograph but will be reaffixed at point of sale.
The bracelet is in 95% mint condition -a superb piece
The middle part of the bracelet measures 50mm long x 26.6mm wide x 7.6mm deep. The whole piece measures 150mm long.
