    About this item

A superb example of an 18thc brass upright candlesnuffer and original stand, these were introduced during the Restoration period of England...this one dates from the mid 18thc when snuffers were made to go with sets of candlesticks of the same base design...this fine example has seamed construction to both sides of the holder, and I particularly like the attractive shape of the snuffer.... both the snuffer and the holder are in excellent condition.

    English. C1740-45.
