About this item
This is an early Bronze Age tanged dagger, from the Beaker Culture. Dating to c. 2150 - 1600 BC. It is a fine example with a hammered tang that would have been secured into an antler or wooden handle. A similar example in the British Museum can be viewed here 1862,0719.7.
