This is an ancient Roman silver Antoninianus of Emperor Gordian III, minted at Rome between 243 - 244 AD
Obverse: IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG "Emperor Gordianus, Pious and Happy August" radiate draped bust left
Reverse: PROVID AVG "Providence of the emperor (Augustus)" Providentia standing left holding wand over the globe at her feet, sceptre in the left hand.
