About this item
A very rare silver brooch set with Iona marble, its is marked "silver". The very distinctive colour of the Iona marble is set to represent leaves probably ivy. It was made around 1910 and maybe on Iona itself as there was a history of silver work on the island, most notably Alexander Ritchie. It is in excellent condition and has a rotating safety clasp on the back. A beautiful piece of Scottish jewellery.
