About this item
This is an ancient Roman silver denarius, of the Divine Faustina, deified wife of emperor Antoninus Pius, minted at Rome in 141 AD
Obverse: DIVA AVG FAVSTINA, "The divine and venerable Faustina [the Elder]" Bust of Faustina I, veiled, draped, right with hair elaborately waved and coiled on top.
Reverse: AETERNITAS, "Eternity" Providentia, draped, standing left, holding globe in extended right hand and vertical sceptre in left.
A nice example with a good portrait and toned silver VF for the issue.
